The Zen Sessions

The Zen Sessions is a Bucks County-based trio who explore
the realms of the sacred, the etheric, the cosmic, the tribal,
and the meditative through sound. Their music is a unique
blend of soulful chanting, deep cello, rich guitar, lofty
Native American flutes, electronic keyboard, indigenous
drums, singing bowls and other eclectic instruments.

Artist of The Month

Amy Rims

Amy Rims is a local Pennsylvania artist. She works in all paint mediums and likes to experiment with different techniques. If you are from Lansdale, you may recognize her from various first Friday events in which she has set up her easel to paint en plein air. Amy studied art and art education at temple University through Tyler school of art. Monet is an influence in her painting style and she has had the opportunity to visit his gardens in Giverny and draws energy from that experience. Monet has been quoted to say that if a man were to jump from a building while painting, he should be finished that painting before hitting the ground. It is that speed which she attempts to gain while painting while still maintaining an accurate likeness of her subjects. She has shown work through various shows with the North Penn Arts Alliance and recently organized the Lansdale Fun A Day show at Lansdale’s Third and Walnut. Amy is focusing on organizing some interesting art shows in this coming year. On April 21st, she will be hosting a show titled Nuthin But Art in which 20 artists will be displaying work and a variety of musicians will be performing live acoustic music at 131 W 4th st Bridgeport.
