Virago is starting a new tradition by featuring local artist (painters, photographers, illustrators, etc.) to be featured on the walls of Virago for a month. So if you know anyone let us know!

This months featured artist is Tyler Auman. He was born and raised in the rural mountains of Tioga country, Pennsylvania. He relocated to the Philadelphia area in 1996 and received formal fine arts education and a B.F.A from Tyler School of Art in 2001.

Influenced by expressionism, surrealism, and the work of color theorist Wassily Kandinsky, his art utilizes rich colors and structure to engage the viewer. His artistic goal is to relay this perspective onto the surface, drawing the connections within his compositions using color and form. Tyler continues to create and sell his work from his home in Glenside, Pennsylvania.
